My position in this company will be as a full-time diver, or a tender with the opportunity to advance to full-time diver. Qualification & Certification The following certification was obtained through DiveSafe International (Campbell River, BC, Canada). All certification is recognized and endorsed by WorkSafe BC. • Unrestricted Occupational SCUBA (40 metres) • Restricted Occupational Surface Supply (30 metres) • Occupational Nitrox (22-40%) • Dive Accident Management The following certification was obtained through St. John’s Ambulance. • Oxygen Administration • Marine Advanced First Aid The following certification was obtained through BCIT Marine College (North Vancouver, BC, Canada). Seaway Diving-Campbell River, British Columbia position: Diver/Tender Recovery of vehicle from marina. M.C. Wright & Associates-Nanoose Bay, British Columbia position: Diver/Tender Inspection of transect lines for environmental surveys. Tasks included video inspection and assisting diving biologist in marine life inspection. Tidal marshland marine life and soil grade surveys and inspection. Seaveyors ROV-Courtenay, British Columbia position: Tender Inspection and equipment recovery on fish farm sites. Tasks included tending ROV fibre optic line, tying and lifting equipment from bottom. Algoma Central Corporation-St. Catherine’s, Ontario position: Marine Engineer Petroleum tanker based in the Great Lakes. Onboard for extended term as a Marine Engineering Cadet. Working on 6-hour watches under 3rd, 2nd and 1st class engineers. Assisting ticketed engineers with maintenance tasks and daily monitoring and inspections.
